Will the Sun Lash Out at Us?

I write a lot about the benefits of the Sun, and feel just a twinge of sadness as I must also acknowledge that, just like the reputation of the Hindu deity Shiva, our star may be thought of as both Creator and Destroyer. It has lashed out at our planet in the past by way of solar flares causing geomagnetic storms, and some believe we are due for another massive one.

Recently I have exchanged emails with Dr Jamal Shrair and acquired a copy of his book, Helical Universe. Dr Shrair has told me, “As I have indicated many times before, the Sun is now located in high energy region and approaching the most dense one, therefore, the chance for massive solar flare is almost certain and it is going to be a devastating one.” He later added, “A destructive solar flare is certain, and it will hit in the near future.” To clarify what he means by the near future, he posted elsewhere that it will happen “for sure if not this year then next year.”

It becomes clear when reading Jamal Shrair’s work that even as scientists make new discoveries, there is reluctance by them to discard certain outdated notions that have become ‘sacred’ to the mainstream – a point in question being the so-called speed of light. One example of the ‘helical nature’ of our universe is that photons of light travel in a helical path. Science has based its calculations of distances on light travelling in a straight line from the Sun to Earth. This being the case, Dr Shrair reasons that those little photons of light must actually be moving faster than previously thought – and the Sun itself must be considerably closer to us than the currently assumed 150 million kilometres.

As part of his explanations of how our whole solar system follows a helical trajectory through the galaxy, Jamal Shrair asserts that the Sun is the primary factor in climate changes taking place on Earth (just as it is on all the other planets in our solar system at the same time). He is not alone in saying this – it was expressed by Dr Alexey Dmitriev about 20 years ago in his work, The Planetophysical State of the Earth and Life, where he wrote that there is external energy coming from interstellar space, which produces ‘hybrid processes and excited energy states in the Sun’ (as well as all the planets). Dmitriev stated in 1998, “The climatic and biosphere processes here on Earth (through a tightly connected feedback system) are directly impacted by, and linked back to, the general overall transformational processes taking place in our Solar System. We must begin to organize our attention and thinking to understand that climatic changes on Earth are only one part, or link, in a whole chain of events taking place in our Heliosphere.”

Dmitriev later added, “The adaptive responses of the biosphere, and humanity, to these new conditions may lead to a total global revision of the range of species and life on Earth.”

My readers will probably already be aware of the Carrington Event of 1859 (if not, Google it). It was a massive solar flare that caused a lot of damage to the electrical and communications (telegraph) grid at the time. In today’s electrically dependent modern world, a similar scale solar storm would have catastrophic consequences. It would emit X-rays and ultraviolet light, which would interfere with electronics, as well as disrupting GPS satellites and blacking out radio communication on Earth. This would mean outages that would decommission everything from mobile phones and computers to automobiles and airplanes.

Such disturbances penetrate into the upper atmosphere (ionosphere) and cause auroras, which damage electrical power grids and can contribute to the erosion of oil and gas pipelines. (During a geomagnetic storm in 1989, for instance, Canada’s Hydro-Quebec power grid collapsed within 90 seconds, leaving millions without power). The cooling systems of nuclear power plants would also be compromised, causing them to release radioactivity into the environment, in Fukushima-type situations. A longer-term outage would likely include disruption of the transportation, communication, banking, and finance systems, as well as government services; the breakdown of the distribution of potable water owing to pump failure; and the loss of perishable foods and medications because of lack of refrigeration. Simply using a credit or debit card to pay for purchases in a store or at the gas pump requires a satellite transaction, the connection of which would no longer be possible.

In such a ‘solar explosion,’ a cloud of charged particles known as a coronal mass ejection (CME) would bump against Earth’s magnetic field and propel a burst of radiation into our atmosphere. Electric fluctuations at ground level could blow out transformers in power grids, leaving cities without power for weeks or months. There is a tendency these days to assess disasters in terms of money. For those who need to think in terms of currency to grasp the proportions of such a disaster, researchers in the U.S. reckon it would cost that country alone trillions of dollars in the first year, with full recovery taking up to ten years.

In my first blog in this series, three months ago, I wrote of the anticipation by many people of “The Event.” [preparing-for-the-event-what-will-it-mean-for-australia]. There are those who foresee a largescale ascension of humanity in 2020, and some of them believe we must first endure a cataclysm of some description – not the annihilation of the world, but an event that would force a restructure of humanity or, as Alexey Dmitriev said (above), lead to conditions that bring about “a total global revision of the range of species and life on Earth.”

Will our Sun lash out at us and, if so, could that be the catalyst for such an Event? Personally, I am not able to make a prediction on either the scale or date of such a massive solar flare, but if Jamal Shrair is right, then being forewarned is to be forearmed – without having to go all-out and become a “Preppie.” As a student of Cosolargy, I have come to understand that the Sun is changing, and we are changing with it, on a psychic and spiritual plane, if not on the physical level as well.

Lest it appear that I am predicting doom for planet Earth, I should balance this Blog with the more positive possibility put forward by Dr Robert Schoch and his wife, researcher Katie Ulissey, in the article “Is Our Sun Conscious?” (New Dawn Special Issue Vol.10 No.6). In it, they discuss the fact that the only reason the massive Solar Superstorm event of July 2012 did not devastate our society was that it was directed away from earth. They speculate that not only our Solar Orb, but all stars, might be conscious – and that consciousness may not be restricted to carbon-based forms of biological organisms. It would follow then, that the Sun may have purposefully released its energy discharge a week or so before it would be facing our world.

If this was the case, then it would not necessarily rule out the possibility of a coming world-changing event, but might lessen the severity of it on those of us living here on planet Earth. And I’m sure that my dear friend Valerie Barrow would happily concur that this scenario is more in line with her latest posted message from the Cosmic Sai Baba, that “there will not be a major holocaust upon this planet.”

Let’s remain positive that any imminent changes will be for the better and, if Old Sol is indeed conscious, that it will impart its lessons to us leniently. If an upgrade to the Human realm is upon us, may it be accomplished with the parental love and beneficence of the Sun!
