Mending the Divided Self

This morning on ABC Television, eminent Australian scientist Paul Davies appeared as a guest promoting his new book The Demon in the Machine (Penguin/Allen Lane, 2019). He admitted that science does not understand either Consciousness, or Life itself. To paraphrase one of his observations, Consciousness is the software of the Universe. Science has perhaps focused too much on the hardware (physical workings and the chemistry), at the expense of the software – which we cannot see or touch, but might control the material world.

For humans, Consciousness is inextricably tied to our sense of Self. Knowing the Real Self is important for two reasons: it enables you to know the right direction to take in life; and it is supposed to be the part of us that survives when this life is over.

The term Hard Problem of Consciousness (with words starting in capitals) came into common usage after a talk by David Chalmers about a quarter-century ago. The question is all about how humans are self-aware and subjective. Paul Davies referred to the discussion about Consciousness in his interview as “a really tough one.”

For me, the experience of I Am is key to my spiritual and philosophical pursuits. If my Real Self is like a droplet of water drawn from the ocean of Life, simply to plunge back into that ocean once the eyedropper-like casing of the body decays and passes its use-by date, I need to know if my ‘droplet Self’ is going to retain that sense of ‘I Am.’ If not, then any illumination attained in this life will have been temporary and in vain.

Probably the reason that Consciousness is considered ‘hard’ by academics, is that it is often seen to be merely a function of the physical brain. The same goes for the Self. Obviously, when the body dies, so does the brain, so anybody who thinks they are going to retain a sense of identity after death, must consider Consciousness to be something non-physical and independent of the brain.

The ancient Greek maxim inscribed on the wall of Apollo’s Temple at Delphi was “Man Know Thyself.” Humankind has made lots of progress in the ensuing two and a half thousand years, but most of us still do not know our Selves.

When I read the works of popular writers on the subject, it is sometimes unclear if they are using the word ‘mind’ interchangeably with ‘brain’. For example, Eckhart Tolle wrote, “Don’t seek your Self in the mind.” Gary Zukav wrote, “The logic and understandings of the five-sensory personality originate in the mind. They are products of the intellect.” These sentiments agree with others whose works I follow, including Guy Finley, Michael Roads and the late Gene Savoy, namely that we should not confuse the word intellect with Intelligence. Because it is so easy to get lost in semantics, I also use the words Consciousness and Intelligence (with capital letters in front) in preference to mind and intellect.

Likewise, I refer to the real or authentic Self with a capital letter. It is popular these days to say that we have many selves: higher self, over self, lower self, inner self, shadow self, image self etc. And it is true we undergo the sensation of being different personalities according to the circumstances we are facing and the chemical reactions going on in the body at any given time. I suggest it is easier to think in terms of all these so-called selves as being strings on a harp, with the instrument being the whole Self. The idea then becomes to get all the strings vibrating in harmony – which they rarely in fact do.

The basis of what I am saying here is that most of us feel divided within. And it is not helpful that some teachers tell us we have to get rid of some part of ourselves. If one string of the instrument is discordant, you don’t remove it, you tune it up. It is not uncommon for us to be told that we have to get rid of our ego, or lose the lower personality. Real Self Love involves acknowledging every part of our being, not ignoring or eliminating any part of the Self. Many well-meaning Christians quote the uplifting words, “Love your neighbour as yourself,” while concentrating on the first three words and forgetting the last two: “As yourself.” We need to take into account that the essential theme of the gospels is about redemption – the Celestial descending into a lower world to redeem that part of itself that is trapped below.

The main religious traditions tell us that humankind underwent what is known as The Fall and, if you read the Judeo-Christian texts, it becomes apparent that they are talking about the advent of self-awareness appearing in homo sapiens. Using our analogy of the harp, the physical brain tends to be aware of only one string being plucked at a time, and assigns the word ‘self’ to that experience. You feel like one self early in the morning and another in the evening; you are this person when you get a rush of adrenalin and that person when you are self-medicating.

Beyond all these minor nuances of the subjective consciousness, the major issue is that we humans have split our selves in two. I am referring neither to the left & right brain, nor the objective consciousness & subconsciousness – although these are both reflections of the effects of the division. spirit twin

The Division of Consciousness

This is the title of a book written by Peter Novak (The Division of Consciousness, Hampton Roads, 1997) that goes into great details of how human Consciousness originally became divided and how it might be mended. He maintains that the spirit and soul will split apart at death. Even though some scholars have demonstrated that the founders of Christianity probably understood the laws of reincarnation, I think it has been omitted from their books for a reason, i.e. that the whole idea is to break the cycle and stop returning.

I do not accept that it is inevitable for the two parts of the Self to keep dividing; furthermore, I believe the practical work needs to be done while incarnated here in this world. Those who are content to think along the lines of, “I have lived as good a life as I know how, so I will face death with my fingers crossed and hope that the keepers at the Pearly Gates will give me an invitation to Paradise” will probably have to face the ultimate disappointment.

In a chapter titled Making the Two One, Novak gives his ideas on how we might go about doing just that. In the process, he relies heavily on Christian gospels, although he likes to add a sprinkling of insights from the Chinese Tao Te Ching (which I also enjoy reading). However, since none of the mainstream religions teach us what he calls Division Theory, it is equally valid to contemplate this topic using secular language.

If we look at a split in the material sense, for example, a rock being sawn in half, it then becomes two distinct objects with scant prospect of being re-joined. The Conscious Self, as a non-material phenomenon, is much more ethereal than liquid or gas, but to assist picturing it in the mind’s eye we might compare it to, say, a body of water divided by a weir, or a tank of nitrogen divided into two compartments. In such cases we see a unit that continues to exist as a whole while becoming a binary system – there is a clearly defined barrier that produces a dichotomy.

Your Spirit Twin

Some mystical teachers talk about meeting their higher self (read: inner self, over self) as a separate entity. Others talk about a mystical marriage that must take place within us. One order tells us we have a “master within.” A teacher I admire very much talked about first meeting his inner, authentic self as a Golden Angel appearing before him. And it is interesting to contemplate that the well-known poems of Rumi might have been written about his “twin self.”

In a recent article in New Dawn Magazine (Vol.13 No.2), we are told about the experience of Olga Kharitidi who was taken into apprenticeship by a female Siberian shaman called Umai, high in the Altai Mountains. It says: Later she (Umai) tells Olga the “greatest secret.” We have the task of constructing two things while we are in our physical lives – the physical reality in which we live and the creation of ourselves. Keeping the balance between the two is a very sacred and demanding art. Every human has a Spirit Twin, or Spirit Guide, who inhabits their inner space. There are seven kinds of these Spirit Twins: Healer, Magus Teacher, Messenger, Protector, Warrior, and Executor – one who makes things happen.[1]

My understanding is that for as long as our twin spiritual counterpart may appear as being separate from us, our goal is to reunite with this part of our Self and become one. When the two become one, we are complete and at peace. Hence the need to love ourselves  – all parts of our Self – unconditionally. You may consider that, if you haven’t met this Twin yet, “it” is right beside you, within the electro-magnetic sphere of your being, and your Spirit Twin also has the goal of integrating with you.

Says Umai, “One of our most important tasks is to learn the identity of our Spirit Twin and then to integrate ourselves fully with it.”[2]

These two parts, to quote Peter Novak, “interact in a dynamic partnership, together forming a whole far greater than the sum of their parts.”

The great author and spiritual teacher Paul Brunton recommended that a good place to start is by deeply meditating on the question, “Who am I?”

“If one is whole, one will be filled with light, but if one is divided, one will be filled with darkness.” (The Gospel of Thomas 61:5)

Sunlight: Renewing Our Relationship with Old Sol

The darkest hour is always just before the dawn and sometimes we wallow in the gloom of our slumbering state, only to be jolted back into life when struck by the Light. In my case it was after a long run of misfortune, a time when the light of day seemed barely perceptible, when I staggered out of my tunnel of despair and into the Sun. To some people who know me it seems odd that a pale skinned indoor type like myself could come to form such a strong bond with the Sun, but when that solar orb reaches out to you from the sky and grabs you, embraces and enchants you, then you know your life has just taken a quantum leap and there’s no going back.

It’s strange how so many people these days have come to be afraid of the Sun. Only two generations ago, our beaches in the summertime were jam-packed with Sun-worshippers, all competing for the best tan. Now the warnings from authorities have scared the heck out of the general population, to the point where we have a generation deficient in vitamin D. What ever happened to ‘all things in moderation?’ The Earth, like all the other planets in our solar system, was formed out of the Sun and we owe our very life to its warmth and light. The expression Mother Earth is often used and I like to also use the concept of our Father Sun. They really are our parents, astronomically speaking.

My initial attraction to our star came in the form of a new appreciation for brightness after a long period of emotional and mental darkness. Yet it was something more than just a metaphor. It felt like a long overdue return home. My interest was really piqued when meeting up with an old childhood friend who, I discovered, was practicing what is known as Sun gazing. The only time I had heard about this before was in reference to the ancient Egyptians, but he quickly armed me with videos and links to You Tube that demonstrated the modern-day resurgence of the practice. I now know that there are certain techniques for doing this, for limited periods at specific times of day and, whenever I refer to these methods, it is always with a caveat about the risks of doing it without correct training. The reader will appreciate the potential hazard of staring straight into the golden disc when it is high in the sky, known to result in damage to the retina.

The warnings about skin cancer are not to be ignored either. I personally had a stage one melanoma removed from my right arm in 1996, followed by the excision of several less serious skin cancers since then, one of which required cosmetic surgery on my head. It has been suggested to me that the melanoma could have been due to the fact I would go for long drives in outback Australia when I was younger, with the window down and my right arm resting on the car’s doorframe under the blazing Sun. While unsure if that was the cause, I am now familiar with the risks and understand the official campaign which has been pitched to the public over recent decades. Again, the advice should be: ‘nothing in excess’.

Earlier this year a website called Outside Online published an article titled Is Sunscreen the New Margarine?[1] In it, the writer started by pointing out the results of studies which show many of the supplements we take are not having the desired effect, and that Vitamin D supplements in particular are no substitute for natural sunlight. The title of the article refers to the fact that margarine – an artificial product – was once pitched to us as being preferable to butter.

Margarine became popular during the Depression and World War II, because of its cheaper price and the scarcity of butter at the time, then its popularity skyrocketed in the second half of the 20th century when authorities told us we must shun traditional saturated fats (such as butter and lard) and cholesterol in order to avoid cardiovascular disease. Margarine is made by bubbling hydrogen gas through vegetable oils to turn them into solid trans fats. Eventually, better science revealed that the trans fats created by the hydrogenation process were actually worse for our arteries than the natural fats in butter.

Comparing sunscreen to margarine is one thing, but what about cigarettes? The article quotes Swedish medical researcher Pelle Lindqvist, from a 2016 study published in the Journal of Internal Medicine, who said: “Avoidance of Sun exposure is a risk factor of a similar magnitude as smoking, in terms of life expectancy.” The idea that the obedient application of SPF50 might be as bad for you as Marlboro 100s was not well received by mainstream doctors, but the point is made that old accepted practices sometimes need re-evaluation.

I can personally vouch for the efficacy of the Sun’s rays in driving away the ‘black dog’ of depression, helping to knit bones and lowering cholesterol and blood pressure. We are affected by the frequencies and radiations it emits, which are generally beneficial in and of themselves, but may be greatly enhanced when we learn to work with them, rather than in fear of them. The solar sciences are not new – they have been known to humanity for millennia.

These days it is evident that there is a very clear connection between us humans and the star of our solar system. Beyond the physical, there are also mental and spiritual effects from the Sun. Our world is inextricably tied to it, along with the cycles and rhythms of our lives.

As my own fascination with the Sun took root from about 2012 onward, my thoughts were continually drawn to the ancient stories, common to cultures on all continents, about solar deities. No matter how many gods were revered in archaic times, it was always the ‘Sun god’ who was in charge and imparted great teachings to humanity. Then there was one particular pharaoh in Egypt – Akhenaten – who tried to introduce monotheism, with the Sun as the only god. What was behind all the myths and legends? Although historians and archaeologists prefer us to think that ancient monuments dating from the fourth millennium BC to the first millennium AD were built by hard-labouring, superstitious simpletons, one only has to look at the Pyramids, the Nazca Lines, Pumapunku or Baalbeck to conclude that the ancients possessed knowledge and technology that we moderns still cannot fathom.

Some of those megaliths were constructed specially to track and record the movement of the Sun. Some were temples, such as in South America, and others like the ones at Stonehenge and Glastonbury seemed more like observatories. Naturally there was the practical demand for calendars to record the seasons and know when to plant and when to harvest, but a number of them went to great length to include doorways or apertures that allowed events such as the midsummer sunrise or midwinter sunset to cast their light on a special spot. This continued even in Roman times, with the erection of the Pantheon and similar buildings that virtually served as gigantic Sun-dials. Great rulers with solar connections were behind the very beginnings of Western civilization.

More than five years ago I began to study the Sun and its influence on humankind, at first scouring the internet and then book stores. As is often the case, books can seemingly leap into your hands at the right place and time, and it also dawned on me that there were already publications sitting on my own bookshelf on the topic, the significance of which I had failed to appreciate before. The most glaringly obvious issue was that the Earth is synchronised to the Sun by way of electromagnetism and radiation. As I came across works by Maurice Cotterell and others, I discerned a matter that is perhaps more obscure to most of us, in that the human body is intimately connected with solar rotations, vibrations and rhythms. Other authors spoke of spiritual associations with the non-physical side of the Sun, and suddenly I began joining the dots between that and the religions of ancient Egypt and the philosophies of the Greeks.

Over the ensuing years I have become increasingly aware of the spread of this phenomenon around the world. It is not just me, but thousands seem to be simultaneously embracing the ‘solar techniques’. In 2015 I became an associate of the American organization called Cosolargy which is dedicated to the teachings about, and the reverence of, the Sun. In a few weeks time I will embark on a trip to the USA to attend their annual Convocation in September, and it is my intention to make their teachings accessible here in Australia. With the firm conviction that there is much to be gained by synchronizing ourselves with the Sun’s energy, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, I will continue to write more about this in future.

Most of my writings are categorized by others as belonging to ‘New Age’ – a movement which has been prophesying since the sixties that the time of a ‘brave new world’ will soon be upon us. I am suggesting that the change is happening right now. The coming decades will see a giant leap, possibly a transmutation of human beings, and I propose that the survival of humankind will be well-served by harmonizing with the star of our solar system. If we are looking forward to the prospect of ‘ascension’, we ought to be preparing ourselves for it now. Many of the great masters have used agricultural metaphors, and the obvious one is that even the warmth and light of the Sun will not cause seeds to sprout if they are strewn on concrete. Cultivation is key.

Other Dimensions and Portals- Are they Real and do Vortexes Align with Sacred Sites?

Do ‘sacred spaces’ – both natural and man-made – correspond with what the Irish would call Thin Places – locations where the ethereal world is accessible to mortals, and two planes of different dimensional frequencies might overlap? Many megaliths and religious edifices erected by humanity around the globe over millennia qualify as ‘sacred sites’ due to their heightened spiritual and metaphysical energy, while many more magnificent works created by the hand of nature have drawn seekers and worshippers since antiquity.

A more recently adopted term for such places is ‘Star-gates.’ Their entrances take various forms: inside temples, pyramids, caves and artificial hollows in rock faces: under artificial hills (called ‘mounds’ in both Britain and North America, or ‘tells’ in the Middle East); outdoors in vortexes between rocky knolls (as at Sedona). Some are underwater.

Many of them are said to sit along the Earth’s energy meridians or Leylines. When we examine the energy flows around the planet, a few Parallels of latitude stand out as being extremely significant. The most notable are those of 15°North and 33°North; then, 15°South and 33°South. [The number 33 is meaningful to many, including the Masons and entire websites are devoted to the 33°N Parallel]. And the polar regions are equally important.

Ancient mystery traditions around the world share the view that certain places possess a higher concentration of power than others. Interestingly, these ‘power places’ are often said to be connected with the heavens by an invisible hollow tube or conduit, and this umbilical connection enables shamans to engage with other worlds or dimensions during ritual.

With the mounting evidence indicating that Australia’s Indigenous culture predates all others, it is not too much of a stretch to consider the sacred sites on our continent as being places where energy vortexes or dimensional portals might have long existed. Anecdotally, the majority of the world’s population today professes a belief in an invisible plane where unseen beings dwell, beyond the perception of our five senses. This is often the result of cultural beliefs or religious convictions. Those who struggle with believing in the Dreamtime or a spirit world might instead accept the existence of additional dimensions, as posited by some quantum physicists. All civilisations and cultures have myths and legends of deities, star beings and heroes coming and going between Earth and this other, invisible realm.

The priorities on any list of mysterious Australian areas would have to be Uluru and Kata Tjuta in the Northern Territory. Even visitors who would not normally consider themselves ‘spiritual’ frequently report having transcendental experiences at these two locations in the mystical heart of our continent.

There are certain guidelines that I apply to identify sites around the globe as potential portals:
– Visitors sense a high energetic presence and sometimes have a profound experience.
– Unexplained occurrences and disappearances take place in the area.
– They are made of stone, have patterns carved into or painted onto rock, and sometimes have caves and tunnels running beneath them.
– Their petroglyphs portray meaningful images of the sky, beings and spirits and sometimes vehicles resembling aircraft/UFOs – and maybe symbols with as yet undeciphered messages.

The organizers of the Cosmic Consciousness Conferences at Uluru write:
There is a magical quality at sacred sites.  The powerful charge of the land resonates with your own body’s meridians, there’s a whisper of ancients carried in the air, the nurturing love of Mother Nature that wraps itself around you, and an amplified energy plugs you into a higher consciousness.  It’s something that can only be felt by being there as you become a conduit between celestial and terrestrial energies.  When you connect to the power of a such a place, your power returns to you.[2]

It is noteworthy that they also perceive the ‘conduit’ or ‘umbilical’ connection, believing Uluru to be the site of Earth’s solar plexus chakra and envisioning the next gathering there in 2020 to be an ideal time to “construct a solar umbilical cord from the Earth to the Sun.”

[In 2008 NASA may have unwittingly supported the possibility of such an event when it published details of an investigation into FTEs, or flux transfer events, describing how the Earth is linked to the Sun by a network of magnetic portals which open every eight minutes. Such discoveries help to scientifically validate the long-held belief by the New Age community that sacred sites and ancient megalithic structures are places connecting this terrestrial plane with the celestial spheres.]

In the United States, a number of Indigenous sites have come to be connected to what are known as Vortexes, particularly in Sedona, Arizona. The ancient Native American Yavapai people lived all around that area, where they painted petroglyphs and established cliff dwellings, indicating to future archaeologists and visitors that their creative force, the energy of their Great Mother, was powerful and palpable.

There are attractions in Sedona today, notably Cathedral Rock, Bell Rock, Boynton Canyon, Airport Mesa and the Chapel of the Holy Cross, that are all claimed to be Vortex sites. Residents and pilgrims alike swear that the Earth’s energy swirls in these spots, with a kinetic electricity that twists the surrounding trees and makes visitors’ bodies tingle.

In a recent issue of Atlantis Rising magazine #130, author Ken Wells raises the question of Vortexes in his article ‘Portals to the Multiverse?’ His main concern is to connect sites of American Indigenous rock art to the phenomenon of Dimensional Portals.

Regarding the U.S. sites, Wells writes: “(…) very few in the field have directly addressed the striking similarities present in indigenous rock art across the globe. I am not referring to circles, zig-zags, spirals, and such. I am speaking of the eerie similarities in the ‘anamorphic’ images, found on all continents. These images span insurmountable differences in time and geography and yet bare (sic) more than a passing resemblance. It is difficult to believe that the similarities of the shamanic and spiritual experience seen in ‘Multiverse’ panels (are) globally organic – that is, abstracted from time and culture. Difficult to believe unless, of course, they are all traveling to a similar – or perhaps the same – dimension of the ‘Multiverse’ on their shamanic journeys.”

Wells later adds: “Isn’t it possible that those ancient shamanic ways, now mostly lost to us, had the ability to either take advantage of an existing bridge – or create a new one – into the next dimension of existence? If so, we can only imagine what these shamans would have seen – and what they would have felt. Indeed, they may have been overwhelmed – and potentially under gunned – in the face of physical laws that no longer behaved as expected and surroundings that no longer made 3D sense. Perhaps they would have felt as children, in a dimension populated by Gods.”[3]

Ancient sacred places may actually be attracting, storing, even generating their own energy field, creating the kind of environment where one can enter an altered state of consciousness. A small change in the local environment is enough to stimulate the human body’s electro-magnetic circuitry and create a change in awareness. People who visit ancient temples and megalithic sites often describe such a sensation.

According to the Ancient Origins website, an engineer by the name of Charles Brooker did a study in the eighties to find if there was magnetism in sacred sites, using the Rollright stone circle in England as a test case. A magnetometer survey of the site revealed that a band of magnetic force was attracted into the stone circle via a narrow gap of stones acting as the entranceway; this magnetic band then spiralled towards the centre of the circle as though descending down a rabbit hole. Two of the circle’s western stones were also found to pulsate with concentric rings of alternating current, resembling ripples in a pond.

The analysis led Brooker to state how, “the average intensity of the [geomagnetic] field within the circle was significantly lower than that measured outside, as if the stones acted as a shield.”

Studies conducted by the late physicist John Burke also discovered how the stones of Avebury – the world’s largest stone circle – are deliberately placed and aligned so as to focus electro-magnetic currents to flow in a premeditated direction using an identical principle to modern atomic particle colliders, in which airborne ions are steered in one direction. Its megaliths are designed to attract a ground current into the site.

Electrodes planted at Avebury reveal how its circular ditch breaks the transmission of telluric ground current and conducts electricity into the ditch, in effect concentrating energy and releasing it at the entrance to the site, sometimes at double the rate of the surrounding land.

Magnetic readings at Avebury die away at night to a far greater level than can be accounted for under natural circumstances. They charge back at sunrise, with the ground telluric current from the surrounding land attracted to the henge just as magnetic fluctuations of the site reach their maximum.

An investigation into the Carnac region of France, where some 80,000 megaliths are located, reveals a similar technology at work. The leading researcher, electrical engineer Pierre Mereux, found that Carnac’s dolmens amplify and release telluric energy throughout the day, with the strongest readings occurring at dawn. The voltage and magnetic variations are related, and follow a phenomenon known as electric induction. The dolmen behaves as a coil or solenoid, in which currents are induced, provoked by the variations of the surrounding magnetic field.

The composition of the stones is key to their ability to conduct energy – these phenomena are not produced with any intensity unless the dolmen is constructed with crystalline rocks rich in quartz, such as granite. The effect of sacred sites behaving like concentrators of electromagnetic energy is enhanced by the use of stone that contains substantial amounts of magnetite, making them act like magnets. Being high in quartz makes them piezoelectric, which is to say they generate electricity when compressed or subjected to vibrations.

Stories of comings and goings through ‘gateways’ abound in ancient mythology – much of which I believe is rooted in fact and real personalities. I am referring not only to Apollo at Delphi but also the Minoans & Mycenaeans at the Palace of Knossos in Crete; Asclepius at the Valley of the Temples in Sicily; Mithra at the cave in Ostica, Antica; the Asclepiadae at Pluto’s Gate in Turkey (Gobekli Tepe and Çatalhöyük were other sacred sites in Turkey).

One of the most enigmatic historical figures – who I believe really existed – was Viracocha. He made his debut on the terrestrial plane in the 1st millennium BC at Sacred Rock on Isla del Sol (Island of the Sun) on the Bolivian side of Lake Titicaca (which borders Peru), at the site of a labyrinthine structure called the Chicana. He later had the 10-ton archway we know as the Gate of the Sun hewn from a single piece of stone, standing 3 metres tall by 4 metres wide at Tiwanaku (Tiahuanaco). This was reputed to be a kind of wormhole that allowed Viracocha to come and go between this dimension and the next as he pleased.

Just a little inland from Lake Titicaca, is Puerta De Hayu Marka, the ‘Gateway of the Gods’.  Carved into a natural rock face and measuring 7 x 7 metres, it looks like a gigantic door with a smaller alcove in the centre at the base, which is 1.8 metres in height.  There is a groove in the centre of the alcove into which, it is said, a golden ‘Sun disc’ was inserted to activate the inter-dimensional gateway.  Amaru Meru, the first priest-king of the Incas, arrived via this portal, then later some worthy individuals are said to have travelled out through the gate to assume a ‘glorious new life of immortality’.

Now that quantum science has opened up the topic of other dimensions to the mainstream, many of us feel that the 21st Century heralds not only the Age of Technology, but more importantly, an Age of Ascension. The time feels right to attune with higher frequencies and try to connect with other realms that may be within reach.

The Emergence of the New Human – Is the Next Stage a Pre-Programmed Upgrade?

Credit Buzz Saw, You Tube

There has been increasing discussion among the people I mix with, and at the conferences I attend, regarding the emergence of the new human, or Neo-Human. I’m not certain who first coined the term Homo Noeticus – some online sources attribute it to a researcher called John White – but it corresponds with the anthropological discussions of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, who used the concept as a ‘point of arrival’ at the next evolutionary stage of the human species.

Other teachers venerated by the New Age movement, including PD Ouspensky, Jan van Rijckenborgh and Rudolf Steiner, spoke of a coming Neo-Humanity. The term Homo Noeticus has also been incorporated into ideas on cyberspace as an alternative reality, as well as by exponents of theological perspectives.

There is growing evidence that the new class of human has already appeared among us. For the past thirty years we have witnessed the growing number of ‘gifted’ children, whose appearance has coincided with the age of computers and other advanced technologies. Some of us (myself included) believe that a genetically programmed switch has just been flicked. A new biology and psychology may have been introduced, producing a breed that seems to be connected to computers from birth.

Recently I discussed the issue with a sceptical friend and his take on the situation was, “I have seen these new humans that you speak of. They walk around with their eyes glued to their hand-held devices, bumping into things and stepping out in front of traffic. I call them the new zombies.” I conceded he had a point but, to be fair, we are in a stage of transition and just coming to grips with the whole new technological environment – the code of etiquette for using phones and online gadgets around other people is still being written.

The advent of the internet, smart phones, GPS and satellite broadcasts may be just reminding us of what we once were, and are programmed to become again. This new humanity may be returning to the state of connectedness and, if the art of telepathy is on the verge of becoming commonplace – as some of my peers are predicting – (either by our transmutation or by way of technology), it will put an end to manipulative control by the world’s elite bankers, industrial/military complexes and secret government agencies. Telepathy confers the ability on one to recognize deception when it appears, turning those who possess this gift into virtual human lie detectors – the spell will be broken. Another term – Homo Sensoriums – has been used to describe a species of humans that are telepathically connected to each other. A ‘group of sensates’ would constitute a cluster, whose members could connect and communicate with each other in real time, wherever they are in the world.

Many children being born around the globe today are known as Star, Indigo, Rainbow or Crystal kids, as first documented by authors Lee Carroll and Jan Tober. But it is the emergence of the ‘super psychic’ kids that really shows the direction they might be headed. One outstanding demonstration of the changes occurring is the case of a young boy called Nong You-sui who is lives in Dahua, China. Nong has bright blue eyes – which in itself is unusual for a Chinese person – but even more astounding is the fact that he can see, read and write in total darkness and, if a flashlight is shone in his eyes, they emit a blue-green light. Another popular wunderkind on You-Tube is Boris Kipriyanovich in Russia who is said to have understood astrophysics ‘at a genius level’ from a young age, and made news when he declared he’d been sent from Mars to save Earth. These You-Tube sensations might personify features that will be characteristic of the new race.

Mary Rodwell, whom I have had the pleasure of meeting at workshops, is recognised internationally as one of Australia’s leading researchers and writers in the UFO and contact phenomenon areas. She is the author of the highly acclaimed books ‘Awakening: How Extraterrestrial Contact Can Transform Your Life’ and The New Human.  She is also producer of two award-winning documentaries.

Mary has researched more than three thousand cases and suggests ET encounters are a global phenomenon, which is especially evident in the New Humans. She affirms that ‘Star’ children exhibit a maturity and wisdom beyond their years and have an awareness and connection to spiritual realms. ‘Indigo,’ ‘Crystal’ or ‘Rainbow children are reported to have telepathic abilities, are spiritually awakened, and they describe their encounters with many species of nonhuman visitors, with a feeling that they are as real to them as their own family because of their support.

Mary’s research also explores evidence from scientific, biological, psychological, anthropological, spiritual and historical perspectives to support what she believes is a ‘genetic’ engineering program, for ‘upgrading’ Homo Sapiens, leading to a paradigm shift in human consciousness. Data suggests that children are being altered and transformed on many levels through extraterrestrial encounters. Although Mary was initially greeted with scepticism, a growing number of professionals in the medical community now share similar conclusions and have spoken publicly.

There are indications we have been, and still are being, genetically manipulated.
– Modern man may be the result of genetically modified humanoids millennia ago.
– Humankind could have been pre-programmed to replace itself with a new species at the appropriate time.
– We are carbon-based life and computers are silicon-based. We are now learning that on a chemical level, silicon may demonstrate the principles & patterns of life. Rather than competing with computers, should we be looking to assimilate and upgrade our biology?
– Will the ‘old race,’ with its weakening financial backbone and crumbling ideologies, wind itself down by natural attrition, as it runs out of clean water and food and succumbs to aggressive viruses?

The essential difference between carbon-based humans and silicon-based technology is that we have a ‘soul.’ Primitive hominids possessed vital life-force and animus, or spirit, but my impression is that individual self-aware energy fields we know as soul personalities were once the exclusive attributes of our non-human creators, whom I refer to as The Watchers.

Stories of the creation abound in cultures around the world, the best-known examples being those of the Sumerians, Hebrews, Greeks, Egyptians and Mayans. According to the Book of Enoch, the group called The Watchers began to mate with the early engineered humans and produced a hybrid race of tall people. The advent of the new race is not just another stage in evolution, it is a major structural shift in the human DNA – a mutation that takes only two or three generations to complete.

The key to all this is Consciousness, which science struggles to come to grips with, and which I believe is an attribute of the soul (which we humans may well possess as a result of the Watchers’ Autosomal DNA). While scientists may be able to create synthetic brains, the human soul cannot be uploaded to an artificial carrier – there are no algorithms for Consciousness or intelligent self-awareness – yet.

The condition in which the new race retains its intrinsic human nature differs from the ‘Singularity’ hoped for by the likes of Google’s Ray Kurzweil, or the Trans-humanistic vision of the ‘2045 Initiative’. The latter (abbreviated as H+) is the initiative of Russian entrepreneur Dmitry Itskov, who does acknowledge the ‘invisible component’ of humans when he says, “The successful realization of the new development strategy requires large-scale transformations from humanity, comparable with not one, but two revolutions of the past: spiritual, and scientific & technical.”

By incorporating silicon-based technology into the human body, we may extend longevity, improve health and means of nourishment, acquire telepathy and new levels of IQ along with a host of other advances. However, H+’s ultimate aim of eliminating aging and death altogether seems to go against the instructions encoded within our DNA by the creators of modern Homo Sapiens. All the ancient traditions tell us that our physical flesh-and-blood bodies will never achieve immortality.

There are compelling reasons to back the conviction that the coming new race will remain essentially, even if part-bionically, flesh-and-blood human beings here on the 3-D level, at least until when (or if) we learn how to activate our Light bodies. Even Neo-Humans will require a beating heart, blood and DNA to maintain their physical 3-D presence for the time being.

The ‘marriage’ of carbon and silicon transpires as humans embrace the new (or perhaps rediscovered) technology, triggering the Watchers’ DNA inside us, with the knock-on effect of reawakening higher consciousness and latent powers. New physical bloodlines would most likely draw in new souls. So what happens to the ‘old souls,’ or indeed the old physical human bodies, still on the planet during the transition?

Where the ‘old souls’ are relocated to is a matter for speculation, but we live in a vast multiverse. By the second half of the 21st century the Keynesian predictions regarding the ‘leisure society’ with their five-day weekends may well exist, but only as the elite domain of the half-billion or so new humans on planet Earth, as envisioned by the Georgia Guide Stones.

The Georgia Guide Stones, erected in the USA in 1979 by a mystic using the pseudonym of R.C. Christian, urges us to “Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.” Many fear this is an incitement to cull the human population down to the specified number. Today, there are about 7.7 billion people in the world. Some of those predicting the advent of a race of Neo-Humans envision a corresponding mass extermination of ‘old humans’ – mainly via natural causes, such as disease or geological disasters, including super storms. But this is speculation and does not necessarily have to be the case.

My personal vision is that the Neo-Humans can, and should, go on to incubate bodies of Light and dwell on a higher dimensional plane. If I am correct in anticipating there will be a coming together of science and spirituality – in other words, physics and metaphysics – over the next couple of decades, now would be a good time for us to put some thought into how we can connect with the dimension(s) above us.

Any attempt to activate the Light body must be an experiential quest – we each have to do the practical work ourselves. So, while instructions and testimonies must be viewed more as tools and guideposts, they can be invaluable when coming from living adepts… it is for that reason I will attend the annual Cosolargy conference in the USA during September, where I expect to acquire some desirable and useful techniques.

Quakes and Floods – the Work of the Sun and Moon?

Quakes and Floods – the Work of the Sun and Moon?

In recent weeks there has been a flurry of new postings online from concerned individuals – and this especially includes those who call themselves Preppies – following the ever-increasing number of earthquakes, killer storms and floods around the globe. Each morning I get news delivered into my Inbox from The Watchers and some days it includes several reports of serious flooding from all over the world: western Europe, eastern Europe, India, China, SE Asia, Africa and the North American continent. However, when I flick on the TV most of this does not make mainstream news.

As for earthquakes, over the past week we have seen large tremors being triggered all along the ‘Ring of Fire’.  A magnitude 6.1 quake shook Japan; a magnitude 7.3 earthquake struck Maluku islands in eastern Indonesia, sparking tsunami fears; while a magnitude 6.6 quake hit off the west coast of Australia on Sunday between Port Hedland and Broome. It was the equal-strongest ever recorded in Australia, matching a 6.6 quake in Tennant Creek, Northern Territory in 1988. Just to the north of Australia, Papua New Guinea is well-known for its seismic activity and another strong earthquake registered there at 6.2, in New Britain, on 15 July.

These come about a week after the USA was hit by the two largest earthquakes that it has experienced in more than twenty years. The back-to-back quakes, of magnitude 6.4 and 7.1, hit California in less than 24 hours last week, and seismologists have warned of an increased chance of more shaking in the near future. Los Angeles sits atop the San Andreas fault. A 7.8 earthquake along the southern section could cause about 1,800 deaths and $213 billion in damage. A little further north, the city of Berkeley is said to be at risk of a magnitude 7 quake on the Hayward fault, which scientists estimate could kill 800 people and injure 18,000. A magnitude 4.6 earthquake shook Seattle and the Puget Sound region on Friday – it is part of the Cascadia subduction zone, and the risk of a magnitude 8.0 or higher earthquake there is said to be as high as 37%. Meanwhile, a milder 4.0 quake shook Montana.

Looking at the entire planet, we have averaged 193 earthquakes of magnitude 1.5 or greater per day so far in 2019.  Within the last week, the world has experienced an average of more than 677 earthquakes of magnitude 1.5 or greater per day, meaning the number right now is more than 3 times above normal. And the number of significantly large earthquakes is at an extremely high level as well – there have been 121 earthquakes of at least magnitude 4.5 globally within the last seven days. Those with a magnitude 6.0 or greater so far this year stands at a grand total of 84.

Then there are the volcanoes: The most active volcano in the world is Kilauea in Hawaii, followed by Etna in Italy and Piton de la Fournaise on La Réunion island. According to The Watchers last weekly volcanic report:
There is new activity/unrest at: Manam, Papua New Guinea | Semisopochnoi, United States | Stromboli, Aeolian Islands (Italy) | Ulawun, New Britain (Papua New Guinea).
There is ongoing activity at: Aira, Kyushu (Japan) | Asosan, Kyushu (Japan) | Colima, Mexico | Dukono, Halmahera (Indonesia) | Ebeko, Paramushir Island (Russia) | Ibu, Halmahera (Indonesia) | Karymsky, Eastern Kamchatka (Russia) | Klyuchevskoy, Central Kamchatka (Russia) | Krakatau, Indonesia | Merapi, Central Java (Indonesia) | Nevados de Chillan, Chile | Sangay, Ecuador | Sangeang Api, Indonesia | Sheveluch, Central Kamchatka (Russia).

In the USA, fears for a super-volcano eruption have been sparked after a recent documentary revealed that scientists are closely monitoring a 465-mile-long piece of molten rock rising below the Yellowstone caldera. An eruption there would be apocalyptic – destabilising financial centres, disrupting air travel, changing the shape of national economies and even threatening peace between nations. Any town or city in the path would be destroyed, and death tolls could reach millions. Coastal communities could be completely wiped out if the lava enters the sea triggering tsunamis.

So, is there some unseen force at play right now, or are all these events just a coincidence? As my readers are aware, my focus is always on the Sun and its interaction with our planet.

The star of our solar system creates the weather. If there was no Sun there would be no weather (and no life) on the Earth. Much research has been conducted over many decades examining how sunspots and other forms of solar activity affect our weather. Some scientists believe there is a connection between weather disturbances and solar activity, and that droughts or floods are the consequence of an unprecedented outburst of solar fury. (To be fair, for each paper published showing a relationship between these events and sunspots, there can usually be found a contradictory paper that pooh-poohs the idea).

As I write this, it is just a few days away from the 50th anniversary of the first moon-landing in 1969. We know that it is not just the Moon that affects ocean tides on Earth, but also the Sun – especially at full & new Moons. There is some evidence that the Moon also influences seismicity. Research published in 2016[1] suggests that some earthquakes are influenced by the Moon.  Studying the frequency of large quakes in Chile, California, and Japan, the researchers discovered that quakes with a magnitude over 5 are more likely to occur during new or full moon when the Sun, Moon, and Earth align. The alignment pulls Earth’s tides over the sea, changing the distribution of mass in an oceanic basin. The changed mass can put extra strain on fault systems located along the edges of continents, like the Cascadia region the Andean subduction zone, and islands, like Japan. The faults are first compressed, like a spring, when the strain is released, the fault, now unclamped, is more likely to slip back, causing a quake.

Solar activity creates reactions in the Earth’s cycles that determine our weather – including rainfall and temperature – as well as planetary upheavals and demonstrable effects in the human body and psyche. As a devotee of the Sun, I am sad to acknowledge the possibility of its potential for destruction, as the result of solar activity combined with changes occurring on Earth. The potentially deadly effects of Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) – which are huge balls of plasma – are usually either absorbed by our upper atmosphere or deflected by the cloak of magnetism that surrounds us. But when the magnetic surge is too strong, it causes great electrical currents to flow across the globe, with the potential of destroying power transformers and rendering power plants inoperable. Now that we live in a high-tech world, this has the potential to greatly disrupt our lives, especially the rapid worldwide communication system we have come to rely on so heavily.

Then there is another possibility that I have written much about: a Grand Solar Minimum causing another mini ice-age. Recently discovered long-term oscillations of the solar background magnetic field associated with double dynamo waves generated in inner and outer layers of the Sun indicate that the solar activity is heading in the next three decades (2019–2055) to a Modern grand minimum similar to the one known as the ‘Maunder’.

A new model of the solar cycle is producing unprecedentedly accurate predictions of irregularities within the Sun’s 11-year ‘heartbeat’, suggesting that solar activity will fall by 60% during the 2030s, to conditions last seen during the ‘mini ice-age’ that began in 1645. Magnetic wave components appear in pairs, originating in two different layers in the Sun’s interior. They both have a frequency of approximately 11 years and are offset in time. Over the cycle, the waves fluctuate between the northern and southern hemispheres of the Sun.

In addition to the 11-year cycles, the Sun’s output increases and decreases over periods of 100 to 200 years. Right now, we’re heading towards the lower end of this cycle – last seen during the ‘Maunder Minimum’ which ended three hundred years ago. This coincided with colder winters in the UK and Europe, when so-called ‘frost fairs’ were sometimes held on a frozen River Thames.

John L. Casey, a former White House national space policy advisor, NASA headquarters consultant & space shuttle engineer, is also a leading researcher on the science of solar activity cycles and their impacts on climate change and associated catastrophic geophysical events, including earthquakes, tsunamis and volcanic eruptions. He wrote the widely acclaimed climate science books “Cold Sun,” “Dark Winter,” and “Upheaval! – Why Catastrophic Earthquakes Will Soon Strike the United States.” He asserts we are on the downside of the 206-year solar cycle. Theoretical astrophysicist Valentina Zharkova – whose work is easily accessible on You Tube – predicts a Modern Grand Solar Minimum due 2020 – 2055. She says the reduced solar activity could possibly cause a mini ice age similar to the Maunder Minimum in just 15 years from now. Scientist and author Rolf Witzsche argues that the next Grand Solar Minimum will in fact be the full Ice Age. He predicts the end result promises to be worse than nuclear war, and more certain, if humanity fails to meet the Ice Age challenge.

Looking ahead to the next solar cycles, the model predicts that the pair of magnetic waves will become increasingly offset in 2022. During the following decade from 2030-2040, the two waves will become very much out of sync – peaking at the same time but in opposite hemispheres of the Sun – and this will cause a significant reduction in solar activity. When there is ‘full phase separation’, we will have the conditions last seen during the Maunder Minimum.

There is no escaping the fact that our world is entering a time of tumultuous upheaval. Even if there were no issues with the weather and seismicity, we are still facing overpopulation (surpassing 10 billion people by the second half of this century), dwindling food and water supplies, pollution of air, seas and waterways and looming economic crises caused by the imbalance in the distribution of wealth, i.e. the majority of humanity soon to be living in poverty. The prospect of pandemic drug-resistant diseases is always a threat. People are already at the stage of pondering the possibility of fallout from nuclear warfare or massive extinction caused by natural or cosmic disaster. And there is the chance we might have to face an issue known as ‘Pole Shift’. Science tells us that the Earth undergoes a full geomagnetic reversal approximately every 100,000 years, and it is overdue to happen again. It appears the poles are shifting in real time right now, and quite quickly.

I’ve said before that making predictions about coming events and dates is fraught with risk, but the notion that the world can continue to sleepwalk on its present course unhindered and unafraid into the coming two decades, is even more dangerous. Even if you are not a Preppie, at least start mentally preparing yourself.

A NEW AGE: Australia’s Role in the New Geopolitical Landscape

The first intimation I had that Australia was to play a significant role geographically in the unfolding Aquarian Age was back in the seventies. At the time I was living in an outback mining town and met a man with uncanny psychic abilities by the name of Harry M. (I will withhold his surname) who had visions of what the future had in store for our continent.

Harry had a reputation for being able to look at a photograph of a person and give a reliable ‘reading’ about them. As a young man growing up in his native Holland during World War II, friends and neighbours would bring him photos of men who were away fighting and ask him how they were faring. Naturally, there were numerous occasions when the pictures would reveal the heartbreaking outcome that the soldier had already perished in action.

After migrating to Australia, Harry first settled in the Blue Mountains and soon gained a sense of his adopted country’s sacred past, while premonitions began to flow about its intended location as the focal point for a coming Golden Age. Before the dawning of this new age, he foresaw there must first be a time of darkness, in much the same way that individuals often experience a ‘dark night of the soul’ prior to enlightenment.  He would refer to this dark period as ‘the cleansing of the sanctuary,’ during which he predicted there would be natural cataclysms and political upheaval in the land. During his rare trips to Sydney, he confided, he would stand at Circular Quay while seeing, in his mind’s eye, the Opera House sliding into Sydney Harbour.

As is often the case with psychics, their timelines can be inaccurate. Like many of us back in the nineteen seventies, Harry believed that we stood on the cusp of the Age of Aquarius, mainly due to the musical show of that name, along with popular hippy culture of that era. Therefore, he anticipated that the events he was foreseeing would unfold over the latter part of his own lifetime. The more popular theory about the Aquarian Age these days is that it has only just started now – it follows the apparent movement of the star Regulus in the constellation Leo the Lion, marking the ancient border between the constellations Leo and Cancer. This star moved to within 30° of the September equinox point in 2012, meaning that Regulus left the sign Leo to enter the sign Virgo in that year. Presuming equal-sized constellations in antiquity, that places the border of the constellations Pisces and Aquarius at 150° west of Regulus, or at the March equinox point. By this reckoning, the Age of Aquarius started in 2012.

Many of us are now recognising that that this ancient land we call Australia is sacred; that it has been in rightful custodianship of our Original people for tens of millennia; that it has been maltreated by those who have colonised it and declared it to be a ‘western’ country; that it has been plundered by mining companies and its big cities polluted; that it is yet destined to be home to a higher way of living in the not-too-distant future.

A Continent Coveted by Would-Be Occupiers

Notwithstanding the injustice perpetuated on Australia’s original people by the British colonists who declared this land to be “Terra Nullius” (nobody’s land), I have personally always thought it was a blessing that there was only one colonial power involved. For such a large continent and, given the exploits of Spain, France and the Netherlands over recent centuries, it is almost a surprise that the landmass was not divided up into several countries run by different masters. Being just one country seems preferable, at least to me.

But this ancient land has been the object of desire by other powers over the past hundred years. Seven decades ago it looked certain that Japan was intent of taking over at least part, if not all, of the continent. The ‘Brisbane Line’ was a controversial defence proposal supposedly formulated during World War II to concede the northern portion of the Australian continent in the event of an invasion by the Japanese.

The Brisbane Line
In October 1942, Labor politician Eddie Ward, the Minister for Labour and National Service under Prime Minister John Curtin, publicly alleged that the preceding government under Prime Minister Robert Menzies had prepared plans to abandon the majority of the continent as soon as the Japanese invaded and concentrate defensive efforts on the south-eastern region. The idea was to prioritise defence in the vital industrial regions between Brisbane and Melbourne, leaving everything north of Brisbane to the Japanese. Ward had apparently been leaked the information by a Major working in the Secretary for Defence Office and he (Ward) later claimed that the relevant records had been removed from the official files. General Douglas MacArthur referred to it during a press conference in March 1943 and it was he who coined the term ‘Brisbane Line’. Fortunately, the occupation never transpired.

What is less well-known is the secret plan of Germans of the Neo-Nazi persuasion to muscle their way in here. According to an article in New Dawn Magazine special issue Vol 12 No 2, written by Mehmet Sabeheddin, there was a move by a ‘Fourth Reich’ front group over three decades ago to establish itself in Australia. A European man said to be a representative of a group known as APEN, or Aerial Phenomena Enquiry Network, was recorded in meetings back then with local supporters in Melbourne.

To quote briefly from that article, titled Nazi Flying Saucers: Secret Signs of a Fourth Reich? “[…] the man from APEN talked of the approaching transition from the Age of Pisces to the Age of Aquarius in the 21st century as a “time of fire” which would consume the old world. He said he was in Australia as part of an “advance party” in search of an “ark of survival,” a suitable location to establish a “refuge” in preparation for the “final battle.” The sparsely populated island of Tasmania held a particular fascination for this European visitor due to its “unique sacred geography” and connection with Antarctica.

“Reading the transcript of these admissions from 1987 by an unapologetic European occult Nazi-enthusiast, one wonders if he was aware of wartime Germany’s plan to resettle German-Australians in Tasmania in the event of their Axis partner Japan occupying the Australia mainland? Nazi UFOs, Aquarian Age prophesies, Knights Templar, Antarctica, neo-Nazi occultism, and a “final battle”… The uninitiated dismiss such talk as conspiracy theories, the stuff of dangerous fantasies.”[1]

Nazi Flying Saucers: Secret Signs od a Fourth Reich? By Mehmet Sabeheddin, New Dawn Vol 12 No 2 (2018)

Once again, thankfully, we seem to have escaped the warped fantasies of a future envisaged for our country by one-time enemies. We are, however, still players on the world stage and, as is more readily perceived by outsiders than our own citizens, Australia’s sweeping 7.7 million square kilometres is a highly sought-after prize. To make predictions is always fraught with risks, but to think the world is going to carry on throughout the twenty-first century on its present course without any upheavals would be naïve. What are the likely geopolitical changes ahead?

The New World Landscape

Mackinder’s Heartland Theory of Geopolitics

In 1904 the British geographer Halford Mackinder, addressing the Royal Geographic Society in London, advanced a geopolitical concept now known as the ‘Heartland Theory.’ He divided the world into three major regions. The first was the World Island comprising Africa, Asia and Europe and it incorporated both a ‘Heartland’ and a ‘Rimland.’ The second division was called the Offshore Islands which included the UK and Japan; lastly were the Outlying (or Periphery) Islands comprising North & South America, Australia, NZ, PNG, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines.

Mackinder asserted that whoever ruled Eastern Europe would have control of the Heartland and emerge as the most powerful state in international politics. This Heartland took in Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Tibet and a good part of northern China, down as far as the Yangtze River.

To read more on the theory of the World Island and its ‘Heartland,’ I recommend an article in another recent New Dawn Special Issue Vol 12 No 1, titled ‘The Post West World – How China and Russia are Shaping Tomorrow.’ It is written by barrister and lecturer James O’Neill, who says, “What has transpired, especially in the past 16 years, is a geopolitical realignment that has given fresh impetus to Mackinder’s prescient view of the emergence of the “Heartland,” that is, Eurasia, as the focus and dynamic centre for the 21st century.”

Mr O’Neill concludes his article with the following paragraph: “The fundamental fact of the 21st century is that the US no longer has the power to impose its will as it was largely able to do from 1945 to 2000. A new model, centred on the World Island Heartland is taking shape, with China and Russia as its major drivers.”[2]

On 18th March 2018, Russian President Vladimir Putin had himself re-elected for another six-year term, i.e. he will be in power until at least 2024. A week earlier, China’s Congress passed a constitutional amendment removing presidential term limits, allowing President Xi Jinping to remain in office indefinitely. Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani is very much aligned with Russia, and Tukey’s President Erdogan is reorientating his country away from NATO and towards the East. This week Turkey took delivery of its first S-400s Russian defence system.

All these powerful figures seem to be lined up on one side of the fence, while facing them are other so-called strongmen US President Donald Trump, Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu and Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman – all of whom are trying to control domestic unrest in their own homelands. Trump seems to be relinquishing the USA’s worldwide influence while sparking a trade war with China.

So, for our globe to be controlled from this hypothetical Heartland is certainly a possibility, and one that I suspect may be upon us sooner rather than later.

Where Does Australia Fit into the New Picture?

In the areas of politics and international trade, Australia may soon have to decide whether it is part of the East or the West. Not only does our geography tell us we are in the East, but China is now our main trading partner and we have strengthened ties with South East Asia generally in the 21st century. At the same time, there are fresh calls to break ties with the British Commonwealth and become a republic, concurrent with rumblings of discontent about our military alliance with, and unconditional support for, the USA.

A quick glance at the map above reminds us that this vast continent stands apart from the rest of the troubled world and I, like many others, believe that it may well become the spiritual sanctuary of the planet before too long. Over the past few years I have written a series of articles for New Dawn magazine about the historical figures who contributed to Australia’s spiritual, metaphysical and occult legacy. In ND Issue #152, September-October 2015, one such story was published under the title ‘The Mystique of the Manor.’ It was primarily about the historic building that was, and still is, home to the Theosophical Society in Sydney. I concluded it with the following paragraph (Note – CWL is Charles W Leadbeater):

“There is a conviction held by organisations and individuals concerned with esotericism that Australia has a special role to play in the dawn of a New Golden Age. In a series of lectures delivered in Sydney in August 1915, CWL had proclaimed “Australia and New Zealand as the home of a new sub-race.” He had detected in Australia “children and young people of a distinctly new type.” A new antipodean human type characterised by intuition and the powers of synthesis.   This is consistent with the New Age concept of Indigo Children.  In the last years of his life, CWL claimed to have been instructed by the ‘World Mother’ to establish a ministry for her worship, including an apostolic succession to be passed on through women and for the foundation of a feminine religion to parallel the masculine-based Christianity. To date this has not made any public appearance, but the tradition is said to be perpetuated within Theosophical circles privately.”

The Post West World – How China and Russia are Shaping Tomorrow.’ By James O’Neill, in New Dawn magazine special issue Vol 12 No 1 (2018).

As evidenced by a number of conferences I have been attending lately, this conviction is shared by many and I feel it is important to come together and form a communal vision of the future of this great land. It has been said that in order to know where we are going, we first need to know where we have come from. Furthermore, it is crucial that Australia’s Original people are part of our unfolding future, just as they have been custodians of the land for millennia gone by.

My own personal vision is somewhat abstract and I do have strong feelings connected to Australia’s geographic Centre and, in particular, the majestic rock that is Uluru, set right at its heart. Others I know have stronger views on events which are before us and it is important that we find common ground to form a clearer picture. I have attended the Cosmic Consciousness Conferences at Uluru in both 2018 and 2019. Next year on 12 January 2020, at a rare Saturn Pluto conjunction, it is believed by the Anangu elders that a significant shift will take place – perfection will spread throughout the world – “a cosmic umbilical cord will unite heaven with earth”. It is for this reason that one of the most significant spiritual conferences on the annual calendar – the Cosmic Consciousness Conference will again be held at Uluru-Kata Tjuta in January 2020.

Preparing for ‘The Event’ – What Will It Mean for Australia?

Among the presenters and participants at recent New Age conferences there has been escalating talk of an impending occurrence of what is most simply and commonly referred to as ‘The Event.’

The Event means different things to different people. To some it threatens either a natural cataclysm or a man-made Armageddon; others foresee a cosmic event such as the end of the Kali Yuga and perhaps the return of Planet X; the more optimistic view is that humanity is on the threshold of a Golden Age and ascension to a higher-vibrational dimension, at least in consciousness and maybe in our physical frequency too.

People I meet at conferences tend to favour the last of these, i.e. the vision of a Golden Age, however we cannot overlook the possibility that an apocalyptic kind of Shift might be needed to facilitate the transition to a new age and higher frequency. This could be seen as a sort of “cleansing of the sanctuary” hinted at in our lead article in Issue #11, at least as far as Australia is concerned.

The expected timelines for the unfolding of The Event are as varied as the predicted scenarios themselves. Ever since most people failed to notice the real beginning of the Age of Aquarius in 2012 and felt disappointed not to see a physical outcome from the Mayan Calendar, it has become a risky business predicting dates. The year commonly touted as the end of the Kali Yuga is 2025 and right now we are mid-way between 2012 and 2025 – there’s a consensus that The Event will happen in the 21st century and, crucially, sooner rather than later.

The Signs Over Australia

There will be another Cosmic Consciousness Conference held at Uluru 2020.  Concerning the twenty-twenty gathering, the organizers observe this on their website:
The Anangu, and others, believe the area was created at the beginning of time by ancestral beings – Uluru is regarded as physical evidence of the ancestors’ activities during creation.
In 2020 at a rare Saturn Pluto conjunction, it is believed by the elders that a significant shift will take place – perfection will spread throughout the world – a cosmic umbilical cord will unite heaven with earth – a true cosmic consciousness

The Event, then, is anticipated as the End of Days by some of our Original People:
“The End of Days … is a prophecy that has been long awaited by the Origine’ people … it is the end of the darkness and a ‘return’ of the spirit of the Dreaming …
It used to be global but the northern cultures wiped out their knowledge holders in successive wars.   We were an isolated island … the lore survived …
The prophecy is that ‘the one’ will come to restore the lore … when the world needs it most … that the Origine’ peoples with the old knowledge have to be ready … to be ‘Burram Yanbuhyn’ … to be teachers, and not project fear in the coming changes … but to hold it straight … just as it was in the Alcheringa – the beginning …”
– Stella Wheildon (speaker at the  Secret History of Australia Conference in 2018.)

One who is familiar with the teachings of Alcheringa is well-known medium and author, Valerie Barrow. In her book Alcheringa… When the First Ancestors Were Created (Custom Book Publications) she receives the following message from him:
“There is a new energy coming upon the Earth from the centre of the galaxy that will influence the Earth and all upon it. This is part of the natural cycle that takes place within the universe. There is a lifting of energy, a speeding up in the movement of molecules, atoms and cells. It is also lifting the consciousness of the people who live on Earth. Thus it is no coincidence that more and more people are starting to think about other aspects of themselves than those that exist in the material world.”   (p.159)

In another passage Alcheringa speaks to her of a positive future, but with a proviso:
“To move on to the angelic way of being is to have the magic that goes with it. This will not take place until the beings that will live in the golden age leave their bodies. It will only take place with those that have developed and understand their crystalline energy, their Christ energy, their angelic being.”                                                        (p.102)

Headed for A Second Fall?

If it seems ironic that The Event is looming right at the time when humanity is on the verge of making a great leap forward in this new Technological Age, consider that there might be a greater Cosmic Intelligence at work. There is a school of thought among Event theorists that its onset and timing are in response to humankind’s newfound potential to synthesise life through genetic manipulation and cloning.

As we stare down the double-barrel of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Transhumanism (H+), there is an eerie sense of déjà vu harking back to the creation stories found in the Babylonian Enuma Elish and the Hebrew Bible. In the former, Marduk finds that Ningishzida has shown the beings (which he created to serve him) how to become self-aware; in the latter the Elohim is surprised to discover that the Serpent has revealed the faculty of conscious self-awareness to humans (“Who told you that you were naked?”). Are we on the brink of a Second ‘Fall’?

The immensity of such an outcome should not be underestimated. The inevitable consequence of the creators’ creation unintentionally acquiring consciousness and self-awareness tears right through the very fabric of our 3D material world and strikes at the core of the meaning of our existence. So it should come as no surprise that it elicits a response from the higher intelligence that spawned us in the first place.

What They are saying in Other Countries

Some expect The Event to be preceded by cataclysmic upheavals of nature or large-scale destruction by humankind, while others believe it will be a smooth transition to the 5D dimension. As Steven Strong commented at a recent conference, those who are not prepared won’t be able to just put their hand up when the Event starts unfolding and say, “Count me in.” It doesn’t work like that.

There is a website almost entirely devoted to The Event, called Prepare for Change. Here is a little of what they have to say:[1]

“It’s being claimed that on the non physical plane there will be a “big wave or flash of energy and light coming from the Galactic Central Sun going towards the surface of the planet”. (The galactic Central Sun is an object in the Sagittarius constellation.) The energy from the Central Sun will stimulate a flash or special kind of light from the Sun that permeates the earth and humanity, raising the frequencies of all living entities on the planet.

Above: How cosmic rays affect our earthly lives and conscious evolution. *From CE3: The Shift

“The shift we’re experiencing is ongoing. MANY waves have already hit our planet and are still coming. This has been happening for years and it is PART of what is causing so many of the changes we are seeing today. Shifts in the way people think, shifts in how our world works, insurgence of equality, the calls for changes in our financial systems, political systems and so forth.

“These waves have been happening for decades and have been intensifying as we go. They are made up of cosmic bursts from our Sun, the Galactic Sun, surrounding stars and so forth. All cosmic waves carry unique energies with unique signatures and information. This information carries the ability to evolve thought, ideas, DNA, change energy signatures and so forth. But it’s also important to note that this energy has to be ‘throttled’ in a sense, through our agreement, and for good reason.

“That’s the short overview of what the Event is.  And of course we have the pulse from the Galactic Central Sun.  The Galactic Central Sun is a living entity and it times the pulse of energy according to our global awareness and the level of that awareness and the level of the awakening.  And when we have this compression breakthrough the level of awakening is high enough for humanity to receive that pulse of increased energy from the galactic centre.”

How Can We Prepare for The Event?

Websites such as that quoted in the foregoing passage contain a few recommendations for preparation, however some of them run along the lines of new groups of people who have come to be known as ‘Preppies,’ with advice to stockpile food, water, candles and general provisions. Here at Australian Esoteric we believe the best form of readiness is to attune mentally and spiritually with the wave of Cosmic Energy as it flows across our planet.

In the interests of mental preparedness, we conclude with the following extract from Valerie Barrow’s book, in which Alcheringa addresses and illuminates the topic.[2]

“There will be earthquakes and other uprisings in nature. There have already been many and there will be more. Most people will be protected. You should take notice of this fact. This is because those that are in areas that experience change will have moved to another place. I am not suggesting that everybody should get up and move, but rather follow his or her inner-guidance. It is important that fear not be experienced, because this puts negative energy into the transition and will not assist at all.”

“[…] Those that are encouraged to stay at certain points are performing an act that is like holding a rod of light. This actually assists the transition to take place without too much trauma. If there is a contraction in some part of the Earth, this will assist the flow more easily. If there are blockages, these can be released just the same as they are in a human body. This is work that many with the knowledge and knowingness can do to assist mother Earth.

“It is important that the human does not interfere with the body of mother Earth. For, if interfered with, it can cause blockages that will not allow the breathing of energy to come and go with the freedom that it should. I would encourage you not to worry too much about the outcome, you are all here with a knowingness that you are in service, you are workers that have offered themselves.”

My Path to Cosolargy

My Path to Cosolargy

By Paul V Young

The poet Rumi said, “What you are seeking is also seeking you,” and that idea aligns with my own experience (or ‘relationship’) with the Sun. Many of us who have pursued a lifelong spiritual quest while at the same time remaining involved in career, family, worldly activities and possessions, know what it’s like to be distracted from the path. Often our true goal remains buried deep within the core of our being until we are guided by a spark that ignites a lucid realization in our lower consciousness.

The seeds of spiritual yearning probably go back to my early years as an altar boy in the Catholic Church, an ardent student of Latin and the humanities subjects at college and then being part of the ‘love and peace’ generation of the sixties. Like many baby-boomers, I harboured a yearning for something more than what was being offered by traditional Christian churches, and was fascinated by alternative paths such as transcendental meditation being explored by the Beatles, Cat Steven’s move to Islam, and the inspirational lyrics of the Moody Blues (owing to their association with the Divine Light Mission). My Mom shared these interests but kept them low-key, in deference to my Dad who adhered to dogmatic Catholicism.

In my mid-teens I found two of my mother’s books on the shelves in our living room – one being A Search in Secret India by Paul Brunton, and the other, The Third Eye by Lobsang Rampa. (When I mentioned this in an article I wrote for New Dawn some years ago, I received mail from readers admonishing me for referring to the latter, because he had been “proved a fraud.” No matter, Lobsang Rampa had opened up a new world for me). I went on to read all the works written by those two authors.

Whenever I would read a passage about the connection of ancient peoples to the Sun, even in fictional novels, my heart would leap. As I now know, solar veneration was common to communities in South America, Egypt, Greece, Rome, China, India and other sites around the world that were supposedly never in contact with each other. My lower mind, trapped in the intellect of the brain, began to pick up clues from what I called my Overself (a term used by Paul Brunton) that the goal of my spiritual quest was located right above me, in the Sun.

Many young people take a “gap year” after finishing their education, before embarking on their career. In the early seventies it was common for them to sail from Australia to London, and that was my intention too, until the plans fell through at the last moment. So instead, I went with a friend to the outback opal mining town called Lightning Ridge, situated in the semi-desert region of north-western NSW. There I became acquainted with a colourful array of characters, including my Dutch neighbour Harry who was known for his psychic abilities and wrote his interpretation of the Book of Revelations, as relating to the imminent advent of a new world; my Jewish friend Dick who introduced me to the Kabbalah and took me through a past-life regression; and of course my Aboriginal friends whose understanding of life was totally different to that of us white people. It was during this time that I came to revere the Sun as something to love rather than fear.

A career in international shipping and trade took me to many parts of the globe, and I spent several years at a time living in the Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand. Thus, I was exposed to elements of Taoism, Buddhism and the unique Filipino mixture of Christianity with Animism. In 1984 I journeyed to Baguio and the Benguet province of the Philippines highlands to experience first-hand the techniques of the psychic surgeons. Other highlights in Asia for me have included visits to Angkor Wat in Cambodia, the Tanah Lot Hindu temple in Bali and Wat Phrathat, Doi Suthep, Thailand. To the West, I have been privileged to witness the ancient Greek Valley of the Temples in the south of Sicily, where Empedocles, whom I greatly admire, dwelt two and a half thousand years ago; also Stonehenge and Glastonbury in England, the Sun King’s palace at Versailles, and I never tire of wandering around the Colosseum, Pantheon and Forums of Rome.

My time in Taipei spanned 1990 to 1995 and it was in 1994 that I experienced a lucid dream involving instruction from my guides, after which I joined the Rosicrucian organization AMORC (they were not active in Taiwan, so I studied their monographs by correspondence).  In September 1995, just as my business there was at its peak financially and I was considering promoting AMORC in Taiwan, I suffered a near-fatal car crash which brought everything to a halt. This affected my existence to the point that I now divide everything in my life as “pre-accident” and “post-accident.”

(While my association with AMORC has been beneficial overall, one of my frustrations has been that they sometimes make brief references to a particular topic, then say it cannot be discussed in this text and will be returned to at a future time. One such theme was that of the Sun, when they declared that there was much more than just light and warmth to be thankful for, and there were in fact other more subtle properties being directed to us on Earth from our star. However, many years later, I have not received any elaboration from them on the matter.)

Back in Australia, as I slowly recovered after the accident, I tried to reassemble my old life working at the company I had co-founded in 1980. I continued my Rosicrucian affiliation, studied Reiki to level three as well as two of their ancillary courses, obtained a writing diploma and contributed regular articles of a metaphysical nature to Insight Magazine.

Business life was no longer fulfilling, so I took an early retirement and payout then moved to Chiang Mai in northern Thailand, where I completed an English teaching diploma and set up a company to enrol students to study at various Australasian colleges. This did not end well financially and I once again took up shipping/exporting to pay the rent, while at the same time my attraction to the Sun was growing stronger.

Everywhere I looked, Life was confronting me with “solar synchronicities,” yet I was still unsure what action to take. During the past couple of decades, I have connected with one I call my Muse (whose name I keep to myself). We are part of a small group we call the Guild of Scribes, which exists on a different dimensional plane – a plane occupied by many of the so-called vanished civilizations who are recorded as having simply disappeared from the face of the earth over the past ten millennia, and which I believe actually shifted to a higher-dimensional frequency. []

There are occasions when I am meditating that I achieve an altered state of consciousness (induced naturally, without taking any substances), during which these guiding Scribes instruct me to write – I do not call this “automatic writing” like some spiritualists do – and the result often surprises me when I come back to read it later. After one such episode I composed a short clip using Mind Movies, called Son of the Sun Credo, [ ] plus two more pieces I was inspired to put together some days later. My friends in Chiang Mai thought I was going a bit nutty, and there were times my own objective consciousness questioned what was coming from deep within me, which outwardly seemed to be an ‘obsession’ with the Sun.

By the end of 2011, I found myself back in Australia anticipating, as were countless other people, what might lay in store for the world in 2012. In retrospect, I do believe that a significant change did take place in December 2012 – on another plane and not in the physical way that some were expecting. Now I was fully retired from the rat-race, living on a government pension plus a little extra earned from writing news items for company websites. This afforded me the perfect opportunity to devote more time to my spiritual path and focus on whatever it was that was driving me toward the Sun.

Two years later I experienced an entire two-day period of being in a higher state, during which time I created my Solar Ancestor website and associated Blog. Afterwards however, I felt like the ‘Lone Ranger,’ wondering if I was the only person on the planet in the twenty-first century who was feeling this respectful familiarity for Father Sun.

To pinpoint the specific catalyst that brought me to Cosolargy’s front door, it would have to the reading of an article about the organization that appeared in New Dawn magazine in 2014 (Special Issue Vol.8 No.1).  This really piqued my interest and I sensed that I might have located my tribe, but proceeded cautiously. By late 2015 I had completed the online questionnaire and submitted my profile, after which I received the Project X booklet to read.  The writings of Gene Savoy Sr resonated with me then, and still do now, and I feel an intuitive, harmonious connection with him and the Academy he founded.

The period of 2017/2018 saw Life once again distracting me from the path, with two different medical episodes, relocation to another city and at the same time launching my own online magazine, while still contributing to New Dawn magazine, including three book reviews per month. The Sun kept calling me back and when I reconnected with my Preceptor, Bob, after a time away from Cosolargy, I knew this was the right way forward. He and I discussed the idea of me being the representative spokesperson for Cosolargy in Australia, after which I started a notebook (as is my habit) to jot down my thoughts, and the very first item on my list was that it was time to make a full commitment. There could be no room for half-heartedness.

In the ensuing months I made a point of discussing Cosolargy with people I met at conferences as well as in casual conversations with friends. It became obvious that I would meet resistance from people in the new age movement who are disillusioned with religion and often shy away from the word ‘God,’ preferring instead to say ‘Universe’ or ‘Spirit.’ So I went into a state of seeking guidance from my Overself, during my daily prayers and meditation in my home sanctum, asking for signs that would determine my direction. Gradually, I was answered.

In the end it became clear to me that not all of the 7.7 billion people in the world are going to embrace Cosolargy. My role is to reach out to those with whom it does resonate and arm myself with sufficient knowledge to answer their initial questions, then point them towards the Academy. A lot of my decision-making is accomplished during the stage of deep sleep (a handy technique to learn). In May this year I awoke one morning with the clear intention: I am to start making plans to attend the Convocation in Reno in September. From here, everything will fall into place. My focus will be on familiarizing myself with the members of the Academy, its processes and teachings to the point where I will be completely at ease writing, and talking publicly, about Cosolargy on my return to Australia.                                                                       Ҏνϒ
